About Us

Capitol River Cruises is a small family owned and operated Tour Boat Agency that has been cruising on the Potomac River in Washington, DC for 29 years! We offer Narrated Boat Tours, All You Can Eat Crab Charters and Custom Private Charters. Our everyday narrated tours are 45 minutes long. We board every hour on the hour at Washington Harbor in Georgetown, cruise past the 14th St. Bridges and turn around near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. You'll learn all about the history of Washington, DC monuments, memorials, statues and the surrounding area. Our all you can eat crab/all you can drink & custom private charters are perfect for company outings, birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, celebrations, etc.

Where can I purchase tickets?

Tickets can be purchased when you arrive for your cruise. They can also be purchased on our website.

Do you accept Credit Cards?

Yes. We accept credit/debit cards and cash.

Do I need to make a reservation?

We only accept reservations for groups of 20 or more.

​

How long does the cruise last?

Each cruise is approximately 45 minutes.

What are your boarding & departure times?

The cruise departs on the hour. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the departure time.

Where can we park?

Meter parking is available on the street as well as nearby parking garages.

Do you operate in the rain?

Yes, rain or shine. The boat is covered for your pleasure. Please call daily for an updated schedule.

 

Can we bring our own food and drink?

Yes, however no outside alcohol is permitted.

Are your boats handicap accessible?

The boats are not wheelchair accessible. Customers must walk down steps to board the boat.

Can we bring our bike on board?

Yes, if space is available. This will be at the discretion of the captain.
